Hello, world!
Bonjour, monde!
I just ordered a Red Ribbon Smores Cake today! Seeing how perfect these cakes look on billboards, TV ads and newspapers, I was actually amused to see how funny my cake turned out to be! (And nope, the cake box didn't get dropped or anything like that.) The Smores cake is made of alternate layers of chiffon cake, graham and marshmallow. It is topped with cream, chocolate squares and caramel toffee sauce.
This sort of reminds me of something I learned earlier this morning from Didache: Gratitude is the memory of the heart. (Original version: “La reconnaissance est la memoire du coeur” - Jean Baptiste Massieu)
Here's a great big thanks to the Lord pour La Vie Douce! La Dolce Vita, The Sweet Life!
Here's an actual advertisement of the perfect cake! I wanted to take a picture of my cake's cross-section, but I think this should give everyone a good idea, minus the crumbs and the almost-eaten cream ;)
